Our organization is dedicated to teaching about the link between People, Farm, Forest and Water. In doing so, we focus on how natural resources are not free and environmental sustainability will take vision, care and attention When land has been impacted by humans, we owe reciprocal care and gratitude to keep the ecosystem and land in health.
Forest and Farm NATURE Camp
Monday June 24th - Thursday June 27th , 2019
Join the staff of Little Gnomes Nature School, The Crest at Willow-Witt, and Upriver to Morning in an exciting exploration of nature, organic farming, and Native American storytelling at Willow-Witt Ranch. We will harvest eggs and vegetables to cook our meals in the Cookhouse at the campground. We will hike with the goats, study the western pond turtles, build wildlife habitat piles, search for evidence of the Pacific fisher, and explore the forests, wetlands and volcanic flows of this magical valley at 5000 feet in the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument near Ashland, Oregon. This is the traditional home of the Takelma, Shasta and Athapaskan peoples who have lived here since 8,000 years ago. We thank them for their care of this place.
